Delivery & Shipping Rates

How your order is boxed, priced, and when it’ll reach you — anywhere in Japan.

1How your order gets to you

Every order follows the same simple path.

1
You place your order
When it leaves our warehouse depends on what time you ordered — see below.
2
We dispatch to Sagawa Kyubin
Your whole order is boxed and handed to our courier on the dispatch day.
3
It arrives at your door
1 day or 2 days after dispatch, depending on your prefecture.
When does dispatch happen? Orders before 12:00 PM JST dispatch that same day. After 12:00 PM (or on a closed day), dispatch is the next business day. Your arrival estimate counts from the dispatch day, not order time.

2How shipping cost is calculated

Fixed-size boxes — no maximum order size.

Your total weight is packed into boxes of the size that matches your cart. More weight = more boxes, priced accordingly.

Dry goods box
29 kg
per box — 100% dry orders
Chilled / frozen box
19 kg
per box — any chilled/frozen item
Example: 35kg of dry-only goods = 2 boxes, so 2 × the dry rate. A 3kg order still pays for 1 full box — minimum charge is always one box.
Any chilled/frozen item means your whole order ships as one chilled/frozen shipment — dry items travel in the same cold-chain box, not a separate parcel. The 19kg box and chilled/frozen rate apply to your entire order’s weight, not just the frozen items.

2How shipping cost is calculated

Fixed-size boxes — no maximum order size. This is the key to how free delivery works below.

Your total weight is packed into boxes of the size that matches your cart. More weight = more boxes.

Dry goods box
29 kg
per box — 100% dry orders
Chilled / frozen box
19 kg
per box — any chilled/frozen item
Example: 35kg of dry-only goods = 2 boxes (0–29kg, then 29.01–58kg). A 3kg order still needs 1 full box — every order needs at least one.
Any chilled/frozen item means your whole order ships as one chilled/frozen shipment — dry items travel in the same cold-chain box, not a separate parcel. The 19kg box size applies to your entire order’s weight, not just the frozen items.

3Orders under ¥12,000: standard rates

4¥12,000 and above: earn free boxes

This is where the savings kick in — and it scales the more you order.

For every ¥12,000 your order totals, you earn one free box of delivery. If your order needs more boxes than you’ve earned, the extras are charged — how much depends on your zone, below the table.

¥12,000 – ¥23,9991 box free
¥24,000 – ¥35,9992 boxes free
¥36,000 – ¥47,9993 boxes free
¥48,000 – ¥59,9994 boxes free
📦 The pattern keeps going: one more free box for every additional ¥12,000 — no cap.

What do extra boxes cost? Depends on where you’re shipping:

Most of Japan
Tohoku, Kanto, Koshinetsu, Tokai, Hokuriku, Kansai, Chugoku & Shikoku
Standard zone rate
Boxes beyond your free allowance are charged at your zone’s normal rate from Section 3.
Kyushu · Hokkaido · Okinawa
A discounted flat rate instead
¥600 per box
Extra boxes cost a flat ¥600 each — well below the standard per-box rate for these zones.
Example 1: a ¥24,000 order to Osaka needing exactly 2 boxes. You’ve earned 2 free boxes, so it ships for ¥0.
Example 2: same order but needing 3 boxes. 2 are free, the 3rd is charged at Kansai’s standard rate.
Example 3: a ¥26,000 order to Hokkaido needing 3 boxes. 2 are free, the extra 1 is charged at the flat ¥600 rate, not Hokkaido’s higher standard rate.
Orders under ¥12,000 don’t earn any free boxes — every box is charged at the standard rate from Section 3.

5Payment method fee

Paying by Cash on Delivery adds a small service fee.
